Elephant foot yam seed-set preparation
Elephant foot yam is propagated by corm pieces (seed sets) of 500-750 g cut from mother corms with at least one healthy bud. ICAR-CTCRI recommends cutting corms 1-2 days before planting, dipping the pieces in cow-dung slurry + Trichoderma viride, shade-drying, and treating with mancozeb (0.3%) or carbendazim against fungal rots.
