Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) is a major spice rhizome of India, with 1.76 lakh ha cultivation producing 18.85 lakh t at 10.72 t/ha (2020-21). MP, Karnataka, Assam, Odisha, West Bengal and NE states dominate area.
