Fingerling seed sourcing and disease-free certification

Fingerling seed సరఫరా, disease-free సర్టిఫికేషన్

Fingerling seed అన్నది cultured చేపలు, రొయ్యల juvenile దశ — ఈ దశలోనే వాటిని grow-out చెరువుల్లోకి వేస్తారు. భారత aquaculture లో registered, disease-free hatcheries నుండి fingerlings తెచ్చుకోవడం ప్రాథమిక control point గా చూస్తారు. సూత్రం

చెరువు సాగులో మనుగడ, ఉత్పాదకత ఎక్కువగా stock చేసిన seed యొక్క జన్యు నాణ్యత, ఆరోగ్యం మీద ఆధారపడుతుంది. తెగులు ఉన్న seed వల్ల వచ్చే వ్యాధులు (ముఖ్యంగా రొయ్యల్లో white spot disease, మూర్రెల్, carp లో EHP, bacterial septicaemia) చెరువు నిర్వహణ సరిగ్గా చేసినా మొత్తం పంటను తుడిచిపెడతాయి. Accredited hatcheries నుండి తీసుకుంటే ఈ ముప్పు తగ్గుతుంది.

అమలు

Department of Fisheries యొక్క hatchery accreditation ఫ్రేమ్‌వర్క్‌లో spawn, fry, fingerling దశల్లో కనీసం మూడు production batches ను assess చేస్తారు. Notifiable pathogens కోసం PCR, ELISA screening చేస్తారు. ICAR-CIBA (Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, చెన్నై, 1987 లో స్థాపన) brackishwater seed (vannamei సహా, Vannamei Shrimp Farming చూడండి) కి nodal ఏజెన్సీ. ICAR-CIFA భువనేశ్వర్ carps (Carp Polyculture Pond), murrel (Murrel Korameenu Farming) వంటి మంచినీటి seed ను చూస్తుంది. Vietnamese strain striped snakehead (Vietnamese Strain Korameenu) లాంటి domesticated, pellet-trained lines ను wild capture కాకుండా feed-trained hatcheries నుండి తీసుకుంటారు.

వాడకం

Inland, coastal aquaculture కు ఆరోగ్యకరమైన, తెగుళ్లు లేని, త్వరగా ఎదిగే seed సరఫరా కోసం Blue Revolution కింద Mission Fingerling ప్రారంభించారు. ఆ infrastructure మద్దతు PMMSY (Pmmsy) కింద కొనసాగుతోంది. Seed certification వల్ల భారత shrimp, murrel farming wild-caught, uncertified seed నుండి క్రమంగా దూరమవుతోంది.

పరిమితులు

రొయ్యలు, మూర్రెల్ farming లో పంట నష్టానికి ప్రధాన కారణం తక్కువ నాణ్యత seed. Counterfeit certification, unregistered seed traders, informal stocking ఇంకా క్షేత్రంలో సవాళ్లు. Farm gate వద్ద PCR screening అదనపు రక్షణగా సిఫార్సు చేస్తారు.
