Season లో ఐదు-ఆరు irrigations (CRI, tillering, jointing, booting, flowering, milking, dough). ఎక్కువ fertility కి బాగా respond అవుతుంది — కర్నాల్, కైథాల్, హిసార్ లోని assured-irrigation tube-well క్షేత్రాలలో రైతులు 80 q/ha పైగా దిగుబడి సాధించారు.
పురుగు, తెగుళ్ళు
ప్రస్తుతం NWPZ లో dominant గా ఉన్న yellow, brown rust races కి DBW 303 strong resistance ఇస్తుంది. Karnal bunt resistance moderate — flowering సమయంలో late-evening pre-monsoon irrigation చేయకుండా ఉంటే inoculum chances తగ్గుతాయి. Aphids, చెదలను imidacloprid seed treatment తో నియంత్రించవచ్చు.
వాడకం
2022 నుంచి DBW 303 ను IIWBR early-sown niche flagship గా ముందుకు తెచ్చింది. ICAR-IIWBR కర్నాల్, PAU లుధియానా, CCS HAU హిసార్ breeder seed మల్టిప్లై చేస్తున్నారు. కర్నాల్, కురుక్షేత్ర, కైథాల్, పటియాలా, లుధియానా ప్రాంతాల్లో progressive రైతులు త్వరగానే మొదలుపెట్టారు; seed availability డిమాండ్ కి కిందనే ఉంది.
