Root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) భారత దానిమ్మలో ఆధిపత్యం వహించే nematode పురుగు. మహారాష్ట్ర, కర్ణాటక, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ వాణిజ్య దానిమ్మ తోటల్లో విస్తృతంగా వ్యాపించింది. పాత, replanted blocks లో దీర్ఘకాలికంగా ఉత్పాదకతను తగ్గించే సమస్య.
గుర్తింపు, లక్షణాలు
దాడి జరిగిన చెట్లు patchy stunting, chlorosis చూపిస్తాయి; సరిగ్గా నీరు, ఎరువు ఇచ్చినా క్రమంగా decline అవుతాయి. భూమి కింద feeder roots, చిన్న lateral roots మీద ప్రత్యేకమైన galls ఏర్పడి నీరు, పోషకాల uptake అడ్డుకుంటుంది. తీవ్ర సందర్భాల్లో root systems ఒక nodules కట్టగా మారిపోతాయి; standard ahar-bahar crop-regulation treatment (Pomegranate Ahar Bahar Cycling) కు చెట్టు స్పందించదు.
హోస్ట్ పంటలు, జీవిత చక్రం
Meloidogyne incognita అత్యంత polyphagous; దానిమ్మతో పాటు కూరగాయలు, ornamentals, చాలా పండు పంటలను దాడి చేస్తుంది. ఆడ పురుగు root surface మీద gelatinous mass లో వందల గుడ్లు పెడుతుంది. Second-stage juveniles (J2) వేర్లలోకి చొరబడి giant-cell formation ప్రేరేపిస్తాయి. నేల ఉష్ణోగ్రత 22-35 deg C, దాదాపు 50-60% field capacity వద్ద activity peak - ఇవి irrigated semi-arid దానిమ్మ తోటలకు typical పరిస్థితులు.
నష్టం, ఆర్థిక ప్రభావం
భారత field surveys సమీక్షల ప్రకారం సగటు దిగుబడి నష్టం దాదాపు 17%; తీవ్రంగా దాడి జరిగిన తోటల్లో పండు సంఖ్య, పరిమాణం 40% వరకు తగ్గుతాయి. ఈ nematode దానిమ్మను Fusarium wilt complexes కు, bacterial blight (Pomegranate Anthracnose Bacterial Blight) కు కూడా predispose చేస్తుంది.
నియంత్రణ
Integrated management:
- సాగు పద్ధతులు: pre-plant solarisation; raised beds; marigold (Tagetes) intercrops; non-host పంటలతో rotation
- Organic amendments: బాగా కుళ్ళిన farmyard manure లేదా urban-derived foliage (UDF) compost భారీగా వేయడం; trials లో 40 t/ha UDF నేలలోని J2 populations ను దాదాపు 95% తగ్గించింది
- Biological: Pochonia chlamydosporia, Purpureocillium lilacinum, Pseudomonas fluorescens ను soil drenches గా
- Chemical: planting సమయంలో, bahar cycle rest period లో registered nematicides spot applications
