Propargite అనేది sulphite-ester acaricide; ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా 72 దేశాల్లో 36 కంటే ఎక్కువ పేల జాతుల మీద registered. భారత్‌లో Dhanuka Omite 57% EC, Willowood Willomite, Hilomite, ఇతర బ్రాండ్ల కింద అమ్ముతారు; టీ, పత్తి, మిర్చి, నిమ్మలో పేలను చంపే workhorse ఇదే.

పనిచేసే విధానం

Propargite పేల mitochondrial ATP synthase (complex V) ‌ని — inner mitochondrial membrane మీద — inhibit చేస్తుంది; IRAC Group 12C. ఇది మూడు మార్గాల్లో పనిచేస్తుంది:

  • Contact — motile stages మీద cuticular penetration
  • Residual — surface deposit వల్ల spray కొట్టిన ఆకుల మీద నడిచే పేలు చనిపోతాయి
  • Fumigant (వాపర్) — వెచ్చని పరిస్థితుల్లో పరిమిత vapour action; ఆకు మడతల్లో దాగున్న పేలను చేరడానికి ఉపకరిస్తుంది

అన్ని motile stages — larvae, protonymph, deutonymph, adult — control‌లోకి వస్తాయి; గుడ్ల మీద ప్రభావం దాదాపు లేదు, అందుకే active feeding generation‌ని టార్గెట్ చేసే timing ముఖ్యం.

ఉపయోగం, డోసు

భారతదేశ targets:

  • పత్తి, మిర్చి: two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), red mite, pink mite, purple mite
  • టీ: red spider mite (Oligonychus coffeae), scarlet mite
  • నిమ్మ, వరి: panicle mite

Willomite (propargite 57% EC) ని మిర్చిలో red mite కోసం 400 ml/acre spray చేస్తారు. టీలో standard 1-2 ml/L. Sulphur compatibility check చేయాలి; నిమ్మలో కొన్ని sulphur tank-mixes phytotoxic.

భద్రత, రెగ్యులేటరీ

Propargite "Warning" toxicity classification, చర్మం / కళ్లకి notable irritation profile; పూర్తి protective equipment తప్పనిసరి. Mite-specific కావడంతో Amblyseius లాంటి predatory mites, ఇతర natural enemies‌ని ఎక్కువగా దెబ్బతీయదు; అందుకే చాలా IPM programmes‌తో compatible. Resistance management — Spiromesifen Oberon (IRAC 23), Spirotetramat Movento (23), Diafenthiuron Pegasus (12A) ‌తో rotate.
