Vigour, planting density

  • M-9 HDP Italian-system తోటలకు (2,000-3,000 trees/ha) standard dwarfing rootstock. 2-3వ ఏడాది నుండి pre-bearing; 5వ ఏడాది లో full production. 50-70 t/ha దిగుబడి achievable.

M-9, M-26 woolly aphid, fire blight (Erwinia amylovora) కు susceptible — ఉత్తర భారతంలో fire-blight quarantine concern దృష్ట్యా ముఖ్యం. కొత్త Geneva series (G.11, G.41, G.935) M-9 dwarfing తో woolly-aphid, fire-blight resistance కలుపుతున్నాయి; ICAR-CITH multi-location trial లో ఉన్నాయి.
