Conogethes punctiferalis షూట్, కాప్సూల్ తొలిచే పురుగు - చిన్న ఏలకులలో అత్యంత నష్టం కలిగించే పురుగు. లార్వా షూట్లు, పూల కంకులు, కాయల్లోకి తొలుచుకుని వెళ్తాయి. నియంత్రించకపోతే 70-80% దిగుబడి పోతుంది. ICAR-IISR వ్యాలిడేటెడ్ నియంత్రణ: diafenthiuron 50 WP @ 300 g a.i./ha. దీంతో పాటు chlorantraniliprole 0.01%, lambda-cyhalothrin 0.01%, flubendiamide 0.02% రొటేషన్‌లో రెండు వారాలకొకసారి స్ప్రే చేయాలి.
