Bifenthrin (Dhanuka Markar)
బైఫెన్త్రిన్ (ధనుక మార్కర్)
Bifenthrin అనేది Type-I synthetic pyrethroid పురుగు మందు. భారత్లో Dhanuka Markar 10% EC, ఇతర generic బ్రాండ్ల పేర్లతో అమ్ముతారు. ఇది broad-spectrum contact పురుగు మందు; పత్తి, వరి, చెరకు పంటల కోసం registered.

పనిచేసే విధానం
Bifenthrin sodium-channel modulator (IRAC Group 3A) — పురుగు peripheral, central nervous system మీద పనిచేస్తుంది. voltage-gated sodium channelతో bind అయ్యి దాన్ని ఎక్కువ సేపు తెరిచే ఉంచుతుంది, దాంతో నరాలు పదేపదే firing అవుతాయి, వణుకులు, paralysis వస్తాయి. Type-I pyrethroid కావడం వల్ల α-cyano group ఉండదు; cypermethrin లాంటి Type-II compounds కంటే కొంచెం వేగంగా knockdown ఇస్తుంది కానీ excitatory phase తక్కువ.
ఉపయోగం, డోసు
Contact, stomach uptake ద్వారా పని చేస్తుంది; మాలిక్యూల్ systemic కాదు. Registered targets — పత్తి bollworms, తెల్లదోమ; వరి stem borer, leaf folder, పచ్చ దోమ; చెరకు చెదలు. పంట, పురుగును బట్టి field doses సాధారణంగా 200-400 ml/acre. flupyradifurone combo Flupyradifurone Gracia (Dhanuka Lanevo) లోనూ Bifenthrin భాగస్వామిగా ఉంటుంది.
భద్రత, రెగ్యులేటరీ
Pyrethroids చేపలకు, నీటి జీవులకు చాలా టాక్సిక్; తేనెటీగలకీ హానికరం. పత్తిలో పదేపదే వాడితే natural enemies అణిగిపోయి తెల్లదోమ, పేలు తిరిగి పైకి వస్తాయి (resurgence); అందుకే non-pyrethroid modesతో rotation మంచిది. విస్తృత కవరేజ్ కోసం Chlorpyrifos Cypermethrin (OP + pyrethroid) లాంటి కాంబినేషన్లు సాధారణం.
