Fipronil 5% SC అనేది fipronil యొక్క original commercial ఫార్ములేషన్. భారత్‌లో Bayer Regent SC, Dhanuka Fax SC, Agent SC, ఇతర generic బ్రాండ్ల కింద అమ్ముతారు. వరి, మిర్చిలో stem borer, leaf folder, త్రిప్స్, చెదల కంట్రోల్‌కి అత్యధికంగా వాడే పురుగు మందుల్లో ఒకటి.

పనిచేసే విధానం

Fipronil పురుగు GABA-gated chloride channels‌కి non-competitive antagonist (glutamate-gated chloride channels మీద కూడా secondary activity); IRAC Group 2B. Inhibitory chloride current‌ని block చేయడం వల్ల అదుపు తప్పి neuronal firing, hyperexcitation, paralysis వస్తాయి. మామల్ receptor కంటే పురుగు receptor‌తో fipronil చాలా బలంగా bind అవుతుంది; అందుకే operator safety మంచిది కానీ honeybee toxicity చాలా ఎక్కువ.

ఉపయోగం, డోసు

CIBRC-registered పంటలు:

• వరి: stem borer, leaf folder (booting దగ్గర typical foliar 500 ml/acre)
• మిర్చి: త్రిప్స్, పేలు (మిర్చిలో 18.87% SC form ఎక్కువ సాధారణం; చూడండి Fipronil)
• క్యాబేజీ, కాలిఫ్లవర్: diamondback moth, leaf webber
• చెరకు: చెదలు, shoot borer (planting దగ్గర granule ఫార్ములేషన్లు)

Ingestion, contact ద్వారా పనిచేస్తుంది; మాలిక్యూల్ systemic కాదు, 10-15 రోజులు residual కంట్రోల్ ఇస్తుంది.

భద్రత, రెగ్యులేటరీ

Fipronil తేనెటీగలకి, నీటి జీవులకి టాక్సిక్; పూత దగ్గర, నీటి వనరుల చుట్టూ label restrictions తప్పనిసరి. వరి stem borer, leaf folder resistance management కోసం fipronil‌ని diamides (Chlorantraniliprole Coragen Ferterra), Cartap Hydrochloride, Triflumezopyrim Pexalon లతో rotate చేస్తారు — ఒకే MoA మీద selection pressure పడకుండా.
